About David
David describes himself as … an ordinary man with an unusual way of looking at things. ‘I try to understand why things are the way they are, to make sense of them, to explain them logically. I have an open mind, a mind that likes to ask questions, to look behind convention and come up with original ideas and new ways of looking at things. My ideas are logical, rational, practical and usually quite simple.’
Born and educated in England. David’s early career was in finance in the City of London; then IT consulting in America, Europe and the Far East. Following a change of direction in his forties, David worked for many years in private practice as a counsellor therapist. Seeking a more active lifestyle, and the chance to make better use of his hands, David started a building business, and then made furniture, until the recession closed off those opportunities. After that, he wrote the best selling book Oh No I’ve lost my job, what am I gonna to do now? Towards the end of his working life, David published books for a variety of fiction and non-fiction writers
David is as a radical thinker with a mind that is open to alternative ways of looking at things. He conceived of the concept of Theolosophy, the rational approach to understanding the relationship between the Universe and the divine. He has created the new understanding of Deotheoism, which separately identifies the functions of creation and spirit traditionally assigned to the one god. He also evolved the idea of Numosapienism, which he describes as a new human way of being human.
While counselling and helping people with their recovery, David developed the concept of Reaction Therapy, or Psycholytics. He wrote self-help books, developed The Whӕ, a practical approach to life based on the Five Realities of Living, and the Seven-Symbols system of healing. David also writes fiction. The Shadow of the Gods trilogy is the epic story of demise, revelation and redemption of Joey Durango, a Wall Street trader with a truly dreadful inherited secret.
The Nazarene is an autobiographical story of the life of Jesus of Nazareth.
David is available for talks, lectures and workshops on a broad range of topics about spirituality and the Universe, life and living, happiness, and alternative ways of looking at things.
